IT'S A VICKY TIEL MOMENT FOR SHIZZLE!

Ms. Vicky Tiel has a steamy memoir out and is getting toodles of press, so we want to keep celebrating her glamorous creations. This 1990s-era Tiel references lingerie and has a flirty Booty-licious skirt that I think Beyonce could have worn pre-pregnancy with the chiffon of the skirt flowing as the powerful fans blew on her as she sang and danced (showing off super toned and oiled legs) up a storm. Well, Beyonce is preggers, so I doubt she will be wearing this in the next 9 months, but her loss is your gain. Strut your stuff, grease your legs, and why not have a fan proceed your every step? Why having a fan will certainly insure you have fans! As for the dress, I am a sucker for some lace on top of silk, especially grey pearl silk. I would call this dress very Mistress-friendly. And who doesn't want to look like a Mistress, even if you got the man?

TOGO OR NOT TOGO?

GO GO GO for this Togo Hermes Birkin. The divine original owner bought both Evergrain and Togo black leather Birkins in 35 cm with gold hardware and realized, they were too similar and required an edit. Her edit is your advantage. Purchased in 2010 and BARELY used (plastic removed from hardware) this is a good first Birkin for the Birkin Virgin. Whether your Hermes experience is Virgin Mary or Mary Magdalene, this is a Birkin that is DIVINE.

ONE THOUSAND AND ONE NIGHT

There are times when a dress creates a positive reaction so strong because it speaks to some early memories, making you realize that you have just seen what you have often dreamt of. It is not about fashion, or trends but more about the fabrics, the color, the care and the talent that has gone into making it and preserving it.
For me this Paquin gown is a special piece simply because it reminded me of my early childhood ...sitting in a garden with grandma and reading "One thousand and one nights". I wanted to be Scheherazade and this was the dress i had envisioned. Sitting on layers upon layers of tulle, telling tales to a very powerful king.
The gown is lined with silk crepe and has three layers of tulle. The top layer is hand embroidered with silver and blue thread creating a delicate flower motif that runs horizontally around the dress creating three tiers. The bustier is filled with this very delicate floral embroidery. It is truly a dress for a princess or at the very least for a very special moment.

PRETTY WOMAN

You all remember the stunning and unforgettable floor sweeping red ball gown that Julia Roberts wears to go the the opera in pretty woman, the dress that represents her progression from the girl from the streets of Hollywood to a lady, elevating Vivian as an emblem of beauty. Yes, that very dress was created by Vicky Tiel. We have been having a Vicky Tiel moment lately, not only did Julianne Hough snatch 'best dressed' at the Kim Kardashian's wedding, in a black Vicky Tiel she purchased here at Decades, but also we have been reading "It's all about the dress" a book by Vicky Tiel and her career of four decades designing clothes that make real women look fabulous. We have always been a fan Vicky Tiel gowns and the 'look at me' effect they have.

TATI ENCORE

We have had this Alaia dress before and it always sold faster than we could blog it. Now here it is again. Let's see if it would sell before we finish writing this.

As Cameron describes this stretch cotton dress, is a pied de coq motif which we also call Houndstooth was inspired by the famous Tati use of Vichy checkas its logo featured throughout the historic magasin in France that is known for being a popular and affordable retail destination since its founding in 1949. Tati may be affordable, but Alaia isn't so this is a little tongue in cheek and ultimate chic.

NAVY IS THE NEW BLACK

Lighten your life in a dark sense, with navy. A dark navy Birkin that is. This Hermes Birkin in almost new condition just arrived and we have already figured out that it goes with everything. The perfect size, the palladium hardware and the deep navy make this bag super fresh. The bag has some wear on the bottom corners but the Togo leather has some superior qualities compare to other types of leather, it is scratch proof and after years of using it can be refurbished to almost as good as new.

Gold Kelly

This chic Kelly in courchevel leather and gold hardware just came in, and it is the perfect end of summer gift. The Hermes bag although used, is in excellent condition. There is no visible stamp but Romain from Hermes assures us that it is from early 90's. The color of the leather and the gold hardware will glam up instantly all your fall staples and make this bag your best fall companion. The tan might wear off for you ladies, but this Kelly will remain with you for years to come.
