Well my time in London is winding down and I have to say I am not happy about that one bit. Even though I don't wear women's clothing, I think were I to start wearing it ever, just one day, perchance I might wear one of these pieces. Well thankfully there are men like Valentino who create Haute Couture in Rome for you to wear to your hearts content without scaring the neighbors. This black boucle three piece suit has the jacket, the shell and the skirt. Everything about this suit is elegant, from the shape of the collar and neck-line, to the length of the skirt and sleeves of the jacket. All in all the package you create by dressing in this is more than an 'Jackie O' style, you may well have just created your very own.



Of course, you may not be the lady in red type, and you might not want to be Sofia Loren, so you turn your head towards France open up your wallet and indulge in a little YSL. Alright, perhaps you are not going to wear one of our coats, with one of our dresses and then fully accessorize yourself with our bags and jewels, but its worth a try. Even though your mother always told you never dress head to toe in one designer, if you count us as a lifestyle designer! If she didn't tell you that, she should have!

So even though you can go out an buy a brand new edition of her bags the vintage Roberta di Camerino bags are still very amazing. This 60s structured bag mostly in Olive velvet with black and red detailing is a fine example of the work she has produced for years. The oversized top handle too is quintessential. What I think is so great about these bags is you can envision a mature Italian woman walking down the Corso Como with one looking utterly put together, but really she made no effort at all!



Keeping the tone set in the 60s this Napier faux jade pendant necklace is one fun piece of work. The multi strand effect adds some volume to an otherwise quite delicate necklace. Worn as shown, extremely simply with black or white allows the jewelry to speak on its own. SOLD

Chanel Time!

It is funny how no matter what the season, or how your temper fares, Chanel is always a welcome addition to your wardrobe. Unless of course you happen to walk by one of the current Window displays in London, both Sloane and Bond street because it is practically impossible to figure out what the company thinks they are doing! Luckily for you we have it simple and elegant with no fuss except a ruffle or two...

This Chanel Boutique creation by Karl Lagerfeld is dated to the 80s. And what an 80s piece it is. The Trompe L'oeil style of the silk crepe dress gives it a suit-like effect when in fact it is a dress. Making dressing for work all the more simple, you can jump out of the shower and into this dress in no time at all and still dash out of the house looking like a million dollars. The blouse has signature gold buttons and all in all this dress could be the answer to your Chanel woes. A dress and a suit in one! Fabulous.



This jacket is also Chanel Boutique and was also designed by Karl Lagerfeld in the 80s. It has a light grid pattern running through the grey with four pockets on the front. The buttons all have Chanel Lion heads on them and the effect created is a classic 'Coco' jacket. Sheer Black.

These three dresses have a few things in common, they are all black, two of them have gold studding details, and all of them show of some skin. Without showing off some skin. What am I talking about? Have I gone mad? No I'm talking about sheer black beauty!

The first dress is anonymous from the 40s. It is knee length and has long capped sleeves. The dress is sexually provocative with the thin weight of the black crepe which means you might reveal a little more than is normal. But what is great about it, is unless you are the same color as the mannequin you wont show off too much. It also is studded with bronze detailing which carries a very Moroccan vibe with it. Tied off with a belt at the waist the dress is a easy choice for formal day or sexy night! SOLD



This gown is very demure and very classic but also youthfully sexy. By Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel this gown is dated to the 80s. It has a full tulle skirt and the bodice is made of sheer black and ribbon fabric. This dress makes me think of fall and winter 06 Lanvin and would look amazing with a chunky gold necklace under sheer collar line. Otherwise this is a classic ball gown for the belle of the ball. Another anonymous creation from the 40s, this black crepe dress is also decorated with bronze nail heads on the bodice, collar, sleeves and waistline. It is not a particularly 40s dress, which when you thin of conjures up images of utilitarian day suits for women. This gown shows an alternative side to a decade of unrest and brings back classic Hollywood Glamour from a decade that was stripped bear of it. Such a classic option. SOLD

Strike out your coats!

Winter is just around the corner and for those of you that keep your winter wardrobe in an off-site wardrobe storage facility I think its getting to that time of you when you call up the service have them remove your furs from refridgeration and box up the jackets and courier them on over to you. Well in case what you have doesn't quite take your fancy, perhaps what we have will!

There is nothing better than a huge coat, that feels like home and looks like it should be at home to keep you warm. Krizia did just that with this 80s patchwork Rabbit fur and leather Dolman sleeve jacket. Of course it will keep you warm and of course it is very stylish. The pattern work on it is phenomenal and it really is a very special piece. Just don't go near the PETA convention in it because the paint and the glamour won't really mix!

Perhaps, its dreary outside, you feel like intimidating your co-workers, and a high collar and belted trench in black is what you prefer. Then this YSL Rive Gauche trench coat with Kimono sleeves and robe wrap closure from the 70s is going to be just the one for you. It will never go out of style and its very versatile. Just when you thought you were going to have to steal your husbands trench again, he gave you this. Just a suggestion, why not?



However, you might feel that enough is never enough and so you choose to don this early 70s Skunk fur coat made in Finland. Skunk is not usually a fur you would associate with luxury, but I think agreeing with me will make your day when you slip into this knee length coat. The popped up collar shields from the cold and give your hair a nice resting spot to add a little bounce to your weave!

And if you just cannot tear yourself away from Chanel, well that is not a problem either. This Chanel Creations boucle coat suit jacket with matching skirt can be work together or as separates. The jacket with some great jeans, a pair of boots and an amazing bag is for the fashion icon in the making. This is from the 70s and pre-dates Lagerfeld at Chanel. Sold

Make an entrance in black!

True black is always in style, and true that it can become slightly boring if you wear nothing but this muted tone. What most people don't understand however is that black doesn't have to be morbid and boring it can be fun, fun, fun. Furthermore it most certainly can be OTT with the flick of a needle. So glance below for two LBDs that take black to the next level.

The first is this 80s YSL Rive Gauche black velvet off the shoulder mini dress with long sleeves. Trimming this little number is an over the top plume hem with feathers shooting off in every direction. If you wanted to be noticed coming into the charity gala, look no further. Understated Elegance

Two very different dresses, for two very different women but, both equally amazing in their own special ways.

The first is a Valentino Boutique red crepe halter gown from the late 70s. If you have always wanted to be the lady in red now is your chance. Very easy to wear and very easy to accessorize this gown is immaculate and stunning. What I think makes the gown a show-stopper is the back. As seen below the halter descends into a criss-cross of two thin straps exposing your upper back, your tan, and your well toned physique. Sexy without being too sexy it makes an impact without even having to lift a finger. SOLD



The second dress is this Jean Patou Haute Couture gown from the early 80s. Made in a champagne silk, it is reminiscent of the 30s. The drop waist and pleated skirt attest to this. The embroidered bodice and waist at just enough spunk to transform the otherwise bare gown into a piece or art. The short sleeves balance the length of the gown and the scooped neck lightens the overall appearance which could look quite restricted otherwise. This Patou is a master-piece. Sold

Tradionalists in the sense that you love to wear black and if you have to wear a color you are still monochrome and wear white. Well three dresses below are just the ticket. The first is extremely sexy and sultry, the second two are coy and approach the female body from a different point of view.

A chiffon kimono bedazzled all over with ombre sleeves from the 70s might sound quite Las Vegas, but truth be told it take a great Fashion maven to pull this one off. Sold
