Mara Brock Akil who picked up a NAACP award last night for
outstanding writing in a comedy series for the BET show
The Game. She shared the award with her husband Salim
Akil (director of the forthcoming
Sparkle, starring the late Whitney Houston). Mara won her award in great Decades style...wearing a black jersey
