Behind Bars

For a black tie gala you can't go wrong with a black and white gown by Oscar de la Renta. I love a gown that appears sleek and simple from afar, then you get up close and see how amazingly ornate it truly is. This gown is a fine example of the aforementioned.

The bodice is comprised of alternating white and black grosgrain ribbon bands, each lightly dusted with a smattering of small beads. The skirt continues in the same pattern with one luxurious addition - feathers! Pheasant feather trim is added between the black and white ribbon bands softening the look of the skirt. It is difficult to describe the true beauty of this gown, so you'll just have to trust me... IT'S GORGEOUS!
