PLEATS PLEASE

Pleats Please? Say, what? Surprise! This is not an Issey Miyake Pleats Please dress, but a Chanel Boutique dress that brings on the pleats in spades. A frilly-willy blouse with long ribbon-like ties buttons down the front (chiffon covered buttons, of course) connects at the gathered waist to a full skirt. The sleeves also e akgathered at the wrist and are full a la a 1930s screen siren. At first glance, the dress may appear to be a bit demure and almost a little conservative, but when you undue a few buttons of the top and wear a sexy bra underneath, the dress manages to reveal without ever being vulgar.

We suggest belting the dress and the Yves Saint Laurent belt shown with the Chanel dress gives this a little edge. A wide patent leather belt (in a surprising color) would be a great option, too. The dress is super light and the skirt moves so much that one almost hopes there's a breeze blowing whenever you are wearing this dress. Pleats Please? Yes, please!
