COUTURE THROUGH THE DECADES, pun intended!

Below please find two examples of perfectly sublime little black dresses. One from the 60s by Coco Chanel; the other, sexed up version from early 90s by Herve Leger. They may have been designed 30 years apart, but their relevance in the 21st Century as fashion must-haves are indisputable.

It seems that after many years of being forgotten by the fashion crowd, fashionistas are craving once again the allure of the agressive glamazon. Just a few years ago one could not give away vintage Herve Leger as it was deemed a rip-off of Azzedine Alaia. Plus at the time the whole ladylike thing was all over the place. Makes me happy other women can feel liberated and confident again to want to wear something as "unPC" as a bondage dress.
