WHY WE LOVE JAMES GALANOS SO MUCH

Isn't it obvious why we love the great designs of James Galanos so much? Just look below at this flawless black and white strapless evening gown and the answer is staring right at you. The bodice of the dress is striped black and white silk that is gathered and pleated on the bias to create an origami effect. The black skirt that connects to the optical top has a dangerously high slit that reveals complimentary white panels to tie the top portion of this evening gown to the bottom. Yes, we love the over-the-top gowns in Technicolors, but sometimes black and white is more than enough. And when it's designed by living legend James Galanos, it is way more than enough!
