Cascade in Cream

Decades strives to only buy pieces that are in as close to perfect condition as possible. This Holly Harp dress is a fabulous exception to this rule. When we received the dress there was a small hole in the cream knit jersey that we had re-woven. If one is close enough to the garment it is possible to see where the repair was made, but it certainly isn't obvious to the untrained eye.

This dress is cream jersey that has been draped in such a way that the bottom of the dress swags both in front and back. The neck and shoulders are lined with pearls, and dripping under the arms are three strands of pearls. As we assert, we rarely purchase things in less-than-perfect condition, but this one is truly a rare find that we had to share with our beloved clients. We have sold vintage Holly Harp dresses since we opened in 1997 and this dress is a great example of Holly's wore from the late 1970s.
