Who doesn't want to own an original Cristobal Balenciaga? Although current and mega-talented Balenciaga Artistic Director, Nicolas Ghesquiere, offers a collection annually called "Edition" composed of 6 to 8 re-issued archival designs originally made between 1930 and 1968, below we offer you a chance to own and wear an original Haute Couture dress designed by Cristobal Balenciaga in the 1960s. The baby-doll silhouette was originally featured by Balenciaga in 1957, and this empire waist interpretation of the baby doll also infuses the Spanish heritage of Balenciaga in the three beautiful tiers of black lace on the skirt. The bodice is elegantly draped and trimmed in black satin. The chiffon covered straps are augmented by black satin bows that gently cap each shoulder. In amazing condition and purchased form its orignal owner, too.

It's not a bad 24 hours when Decades posts a Christian Dior from 1957 on a Thursday and a Cristobal Balenciaga on a Friday. Both divine black dresses and both the type of vintage with which dreams are turned into reality!

Cristobal Balenciaga Haute Couture black chiffon and lace baby doll evening dress, c. 1960s. Modern size 4 SOLD
