BREAKING THE WAVES

The Natural Resources Defense Council's Ocean Initiative hosted a chic dinner this past Saturday at the Charles Gwathmey-designed home of Ron and Kelly Meyer, sponsored by Chanel's J12 line of watches. Surfing and Chanel made me think of this wonderful vintage mocha wave quited variation of a 2.55. This is an unusual pattern that is less-typical than the normal diamond quilted iconic 2.55 Chanel technique. What a perfect way to own a classic bag in an unusual use of the quilt technique but ready for some outside thinking fashionista to break the waves of ubiquity! Of course the sides of the bag have the familiar diamond quilt pattern so you get the best of both worlds: ride that wave.
