An Ossie for Everyone

Ossie Clark: one designer, two very different styles.

The first dress is a classic moss crepe maxi dress done in a beautiful steel blue color. It has long sleeves, a matching waist tie, and fabric covered buttons all down the front of the dress. The darting at the shoulders and around the bust is especially beautiful on this piece, and very representative of the craftsmanship that has become synonymous with Ossie Clark.

The second dress is a very light day dress, utilizing three Celia Britwell prints. The dress is made of chiffon in a three tier pattern, and has spaghetti straps that tie at the shoulder. The main colors in all three prints are green cream and black. There is an interesting juxtaposition between the prints, the top and bottom tier are a floral patter, and the middle is geometric. The dress has an amazing flow with movement, and it drapes perfectly on the body.

Ossie Clark was a master at his craft, and these two pieces are a great example of the versatile and creative mind that was behind the beauty.
