We've loved Olivier Theyskens since he dressed Madonna for the Oscars. We rocked every piece of Rochas that we could get our hands on. And when we heard that Theyskens was, the king of couture level detailing, was taking over the helm at Theory, it was a bit of a head-scratcher, but still. We put our faith in Theyskens. And we have to say, we lo-o-o-ving his collections. There smart, sharp, modern. Kinda like Balmain's younger sister.

Never since Alaia and Leger, has a designer made body con knits look so appealing. But truth be told, Ohne Titel's rainbow bright clinging cocktail dresses makes want to go to Bikram yoga every single day. We loved this season's darker color palette and also were taken with the ready to pieces that didn't involve yarn. Ooooh, and it must be said, these babes can cut a pant like nobody's business.

Phillip Lim 3.1 has a rep for dressing uptown girls. What do we mean by that? Well, we're talking about chic gals who want to look good, just not they belong in a Dostevsky film. You know, girls who don't take scissors to their own clothes for fun. This season PLim 3.1 showed sophisticated sleek gear in a time-tested black and white palette with a dash or two of cobalt, teal, and aqua blue.

Oh Rodarte . . . we excepted certain things from you: tutus, crazy knits that make Sid Viscous look like Hamish Bowles. But this time around, the Rodarte girls gave us simple seperates. Simple, sophisticated and very very pretty but more make no mistake about it, this was a much more pared down collection than usual. Of course, the dresses? Bananas. And let's not even get into the prints. A-MA-ZING.
