Petals, Ruffles and Polka-dots, oh my!

A beautiful gown designed by the pinnacle of Japanese contemporary fashion, Hanae Mori. She was the first Asian woman to be admitted as an Haute Couture design house by the Fédération Française de la Couture. The amazing detail and color scheme of this gown shows you why she was chosen to join the the ranks of the worlds finest designers. The top is held up with two spaghetti straps attached to a bust, layered with bone and cafe au lait color silk ribbon ruffles. The body of the gown is a silk chiffon with an amazing rose petal print, done in the same cafe au lait as the ribbon. Towards the bottom of the gown, the flowers turn a vibrant coral color that really pops when you look at the gown from a distance.

Hanae Mori floral print and silk ruched bust gown, c.1970's. Contemporary size 4-6. SOLD
