Lately the blog has been chock-full of pearls! These pearls have been by way of Chanel and have really been meant for ears, necks, and wrists (or trees, for those that
religiously follow our posts), but now we have something in the color pearl that can cover your body! I purchased this gown in Paris and although it is made like a
Haute Couture garment, I don't know the actual designer of this late 70s pearl silk crepe gown (aka
Anonymous) with the most divine shawl that attaches to each wrist. Things I do know: it's French; it's glamorous; it was made for a super long torso (the straps can easily be shortened to accommodate your measurements); it has really cool embroidery
reminiscent of old Hollywood (paging Lana Turner) and detailed in the photos below); the empire waist is super flattering for many body types; the shawl is genius as you will never lose it since it attaches to each wrist and it can be worn over your shoulders or draped behind you as we have pictured it; and this could just as easily be a groovy wedding dress for someone as well as a perfect gown for a formal event. I may not know who made it, but I think I've sold myself on the designer's abilities!
