Roehm, Roehm on the Range

Carolyn Roehm was born in Missouri in 1951, after studying design at Washington University she went on to become one of the leading American designers of the time. The two dresses below are different takes on the color green.

The first dress is a teal blue/green silk jersey dress. The straps criss cross in the front and back, the bodice is ruched and the long skirt is flared at the bottom.

The second dress is a silk satin emerald green column dress. It has one shoulder and a side slit to the left. The dress is gathered and fitted at the waist. The hidden zipper is at the waist and is totally covered by snaps and an extra piece of material.

Roehm designed for women like herself, with active social lives along with intensive day activities. These dresses are two fine examples of the look and brand that Roehm was attempting to establish using her name.
