I swear it took 6 months for the speciality suede cleaner to refresh this Gucci coat, but it was worth it. These coats have always been favorites of mine with their decadent silver dragon buckle and pocket closures trimmed in enamel. But I am further seduced by this one because I adore the color green.

The original owner also bought the coordinating suede skirt when she purchased this coat some 40 years ago and I imagine she cut quite a figure in the "total look." I wouldn't be surprised if she inspired women to turn green with envy and enter a cat fight or two when she ran around town. These coats were quite pricey back in the day and were of limited production. We haven't had one at Decades in many years.

When I first opened the store in 1997 I remember having a few of these but they were snatched up quickly as everything vintage Gucci was popular in tandem with Tom Ford's exciting revival of the the legendary brand. The exterior of the coat is in very fine condition but you will notice the signature Gucci lining got into its own cat fight of sorts; there are two areas in the lining under the arm that will require patching which we can do for you. As often happens with these coats, the previous owner moved the buttons as her body shape shifted. Bodies change, but great style endures!

Gucci green suede and leather iconic dragon enamel coat, c. early 1970s. Marked size 50! (That's some wacky sizing, but we find it to be a 6 to small 10). Previous owner moved buttons FYI. Interior Lining under arms damage indicated above. SOLD
