TALISMANS FOR A BETTER NEW YEAR

If you are familiar with Alex and Lee then you will understand our excitement to have such a wonderful 7 piece collection of Alex and Lee necklaces available to all you daring fashionistas. Alex and Lee pieces are bold, intricate, and, in their own words; "talismans to adorn the temple of the body". The materials used are organic elements layered and bound with each other creating pieces that are in their own right, art to wear.
Alex and Lee's Love and Peace philosophy using meditation as a tool to create, gives these pieces a special meaning.
Their special collaboration with Proenza Schouler's Resort 2012, a limited 4 style edition, was sure to become the most coveted accessories of the season.
These 7 pieces available to you are from the 70's, created by incorporating knotting of macrame with natural elements and found objects, shells, tassels, stones, hand carved wood, pyrite, resin and copper. Alex and Lee, as with all art in general, is not mass produced, every piece is hand crafted using materials from the earth in their organic form.
Wear them as statement necklaces and cherish them for their rich historical feel and artisanal design. Love and Peace!

NATIVE, FUNK, AND FLASH

Alex & Lee jewelry holds a special place in the heart of Decades. We have long-admired the one-of-a-kind designs of Alex & Lee which mix found materials with signature hand-dyed cord and intricate metal work. To learn more about the history of Alex & Lee click here. The necklace below is circa 1974 from their "Santa Barbara Period." It's bold, it's unusual, and it's a statement. Around five years ago, Decades had a very large collection of vintage Alex & Lee, so we were delighted when this piece recently came our way. We are excited to find out which Decades client will have the cahunas to boldly go where only the truest Fashionista will go!
