Hoop Dreams

Dominique Aurientis has taken the classic hoop earring and put a modern twist on it. Below are two fine examples of what hoop earring can, and should be. The first is a flattened hoop that we affectionately call the "Pac-Man" hoop. The gold earring lies flat against the ear. The top side of the earrings is adorned with white and smoke glass pearls along with crystals surrounded by gold bead rim. The second pair of earrings is a classic hoop constructed from many small gold leaves. The leaves are covered with gold berries as well as clear, smoke and blue crystals.

Whoops, we meant to add this to our post below, but these Dominique Aurientis earrings didn't load up properly so they are getting a solo spot! These fab mint clips-ons are connected by a hoop to large gold shells. They continue are gilt-y pleasure love affair of posts today. Don't you need some seashells in your life?

GILT-Y PLEASURE

Luxe hippie looks right again and the gilt faux jewels below are sure to spice up your ensembles and give them a little ethnic luxe.

The first necklace is a signed Valentino necklace of unexpected materials. A dark chocolate (that color, again) cord attaches to a groovy mix of Chinese charms, gold bars and colorful free-form glass beads. It is really a great piece. We can't wait to see who buys it!

The second necklace is by our dear friend Anonyme. Who is Anonyme? Good question. Anyway, the necklace is really anonymous and a great mix of gilt chains, glass beads, and Fleur De Lys centered pendant of hammered metal. Delicious.

The last, but hardly least piece, is again Anonyme and looks like someone took some gold tin foil and crunched it up and then be-dazzled it. Gosh, that's an awful description, but the cuff is a wonderful juxtaposition of sculptured gold metal and bold iridescent crystals.
