SUMMER WINDOW

The start of summer our first window celebrated "The Wedding". The window was designed by the extremely talented Jeff Snyder. So please enjoy these beautiful images as they are much less expensive then the real thing. The groom is wearing an Alexander McQueen tuxedo courtesy of Mr. Cameron Silver's private collection. The Bride is wearing Jean Patou by Christian Lacroix Haute Couture straight from runway The bridesmaids are wearing all contemporary dresses from Decades, but since they are not the bride does it really matter what are they wearing. This is what midnight wedding looks like for all of you who haven't been able to stop by Decades yet.

PATOU OLD SCHOOL

Although this black-and-white Jean Patou Haute Couture lace one-shoulder gown draws inspiration from the beginning of the 20th century, it is a design from the mid 1970s. We think it looks poised for a 21st century red carpet run at next year's (deep thought: we would have written next decade, but it's a scary reality) Golden Globes.
The ornate ecru and black lace features an abstract pattern (reminiscent of free form leaves) at the top 3/4, and becomes more concentrated at the left hip, then drapes over the bottom layer. The bottom is crinoline-backed lace in a charming bow motif. From the bottom, the silhouette looks like it came straight out of pages of The Delineator Magazine as it trumpets out elegantly. Though we have written many a blog post describing an unusual dress, this stunner has us a touch tongue-tied! We hope the pictures are as seductive as the dress is in person! Certainly the original owner of this gown understood The Art of Seduction.
