BOYS SWEAT AT BLACK TIES IN THE SUMMER

Girls are lucky!  They can go to a black tie gala and wear a skimpy backless jersey dress, while we boys are in a tux with a dress shirt and bow tie (sweating to the oldies!). You also have so many fabric options in the summer for evening like this Guy Laroche Boutique evening dress in a chic black and green floral cotton print with a bustier and full gathered skirt with massive pockets.  It's one of those dresses that is perfect for a June wedding as it is so effortless yet elegant.  I actually would love to see some chic woman wear it to Valentino's chateau in Wideville this summer after the Couture shows.  Imagine it worn with a beat up fitted denim jacket and insane baubles -- maybe by my current favorite jeweler, Cantamessa.

Canary in Guy Major

Just in time for that last Summer soiree we present a canary yellow day dress by Guy Laroche. The timeless scoop neck and princess shoulders provide sophisticated drama. The skirt has a lovely bell shape and is gathered at the bottom creating what can only be described as a slight bubble. We would pair this with a vibrant green or red thick belt to break it up a bit. This is a sassy and very easy look to pull of at that inevitable "farewell to Summer" party.

GEE GUY

We always have been fond of the Lady in Red. This Guy Laroche Boutique late 70s red chiffon criss cross and ruched dress will let you be the Lady in Red and then some. The seductive bust line might require some graffer's tape to keep you in place, but it's worth it! We also like how it provides for a great black tie evening option without seeming to "Grande Dame," it's black tie for the cool crowd!
